The temporary exhibition, designed in collaboration with the Art Gallery of New South Wales, presented colourful Indian miniature paintings from the 17th to 19th centuries depicting the luxurious lifestyle of the Rajput courts of the Indian state of Rajasthan.

The design conveyed a sense of the vitality, richness and sensuality of a bygone era that was the Maharana's court, in a scale and setting appropriate to the intricate works.
