Johnson Pilton Walker were the urban designers and landscape architects responsible for the detailed design, documentation and supervision of the Olympic Boulevard and associated plazas. The scale of this work is daunting and ranged from the huge Olympic Plaza to the detailed design of bridges and street furniture. The project covers some 40 hectares of urban space and at almost 11 hectares, the Olympic Plaza alone is one of the largest paved spaces in the world.
