Jansen Che wins 2019 Red Dot Design Award

“The Red Dot is the award for high design quality. The international jury only awards this sought-after seal of quality to works that set themselves apart significantly from comparable works thanks to their excellent design.”

Jansen Che, one of JPW’s registered architects, recently received the Red Dot Design Award at the 2019 Red Dot Concept Design award ceremony, held in Singapore.

Jansen was awarded for his design of a minimalist watch, Adesse. Adesse reimagines the traditional analog watch with minimalist principles, and questions what is absolutely necessary to tell the time. It reveals just enough to tell the time, removing all distractions, reminding the wearer to enjoy the present. His design is currently on display at the Red Dot design museum in Singapore.

JPW acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of Country and honours their continuing connection to lands, waters, skies and communities.

We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging – as the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we work; and the Gadigal people of the Eora Nation on whose land our Studio is located.
