We have seen the world-class vision contained in the TMAG Masterplan, and now we are on track to creating the largest cultural development in Tasmania’s history, the cultural centrepiece of the waterfront.

David Bartlett
Premier of Tasmania

Your New Museum was a public exhibition to explain and promote the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery’s Masterplan, set within the ground floor of the TMAG’s 1824 Commissariat Bond Store warehouse.

The exhibition was an important part of TMAG’s consultation and education process, as the project has been of particular local and State-wide interest for some time, and the displays achieved an overwhelming positive public response to the Masterplan proposals and the broader visions of the institution to be one of the world’s leading contemporary cultural institutions.
