JPW in collaboration with Terroir completed a Site Masterplan for the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery in Hobart. TMAG is Australia’s second oldest museum and occupies one of the most important collections of heritage buildings in the country. The Masterplan sets out opportunities to link interpretation of place, buildings and collections together in a contemporary, innovative, sustainable and unique way.
“What we are unveiling today, is a masterplan that outlines how the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery can blend its historic past with the demands of the future. This masterplan has the potential to turn TMAG into Tasmania’s cultural face to the world.” David Bartlett, Premier of Tasmania, launching TMAG Masterplan, September 2008
